Free check

Free, two minutes

Does AI know your business?

Probably less than you think. An assistant can only name a business it can find and read, and some sites block its crawler without the owner knowing, or never say clearly who the business is, where it works and how to call. This check tells you which, for free.

What does the check look at?

At once, in your browser: your home page's title, description, heading, structured data, phone link, phone layout and padlock, your sitemap and robots.txt, and whether your robots.txt blocks any of the AI companies' crawlers, the ones they search with and the ones they train with.

Then, by email: we ask ChatGPT and Claude, with web search on, the question a customer would ask ("who is a good plumber in Penrith"), read your Google Maps listing and Localsearch, and send you who got named. A person looks over each request before it runs, so allow a few days.

Five checks a day from one connection. We keep your answers to send you the result and to count what we find across many businesses. We never sell your details.

Free, no account. We read your home page, robots.txt and sitemap now. We keep your answers to send you the result and to count what we find across many businesses. We never sell your details; email creativebyjake@gmail.com and we delete them. Privacy.

Reading your result

What do the results mean?

Fix means something stops Google or an assistant from reading you properly: a missing title, no structured data, or a robots.txt line that blocks a crawler. These are usually small jobs for whoever looks after your site.

Watch means it works, but not as well as it could.

Unread means our reader could not tell, often because the page took too long or is longer than we read. It is our reader, not a verdict on you.

Every term in the result is explained in the glossary.

Why can the website part not show who AI names?

Asking the assistants properly takes their web search tools and a few minutes per business, and Google Maps blocks automated reading from servers. So the instant part sticks to what a server can read honestly, and the rest comes by email.

Does a pass mean I will be recommended?

No. The basics make you readable; being named also depends on your Google listing, your reviews and what other sites say about you. That is the part Appear works on.

Is it really free?

Yes. No card, no account. If you want help with what it finds, you can ask Jake to call; if not, the result is yours to keep.

What does robots.txt have to do with AI?

robots.txt is a small file that tells crawlers what they may read. A line meant for one bot can block the crawler an assistant uses to read the web, and then that assistant answers from other people's pages about you, or not at all.
